Project director appointed for the development of Hembrug site

As project director, Renders will be responsible for the integral development of the Hembrug site (45 hectares of greenery, monuments and construction).

A challenging project

Transforming the former Artillery Establishments site will be one of the most complex and unusual area developments in Europe. Hembrug defines itself by its lush greenery, its rich industrial buildings and its appeal to creative entrepreneurs. The challenge lies in adding a substantial new construction programme (approximately 1,000 homes) while retaining the area’s distinctive character.

In recent years Renders has worked on different projects in the Amsterdam metropolitan region as an area developer, i. Renders is a construction-engineered professional with over twenty years of experience working for the government, housing corporations and commercial developers. A passionate city and area planner with proven knowledge and results in complex property and area developments.
Renders calls herself a real doer, connector and above all team player. At the same time, she has a keen eye for the feasibility of plans and ideas.

Since March 2010 she has been working as development manager at Stadgenoot, a large housing corporation in Amsterdam. From January 2017, she was active as an area developer within the Noordwest region of developer AM.
